The word Antonym means a word or phrase that is the opposite of another word or phrase. These paintings are the embodiment of the word Antonym due to the process in which they are created. While fabrication these paintings I start in the first phase which I like to call the chaos phase which consists of throwing paint on the canvas and being in an almost mindlessness state of being. After that phase I move on to the contemplation phase that is where I meticulously add elements to the piece to emphasizing and deemphasizing parts from the chaos phase. The process itself of chaos and contemplation is itself an antonym. For the materials I do not stay with one medium but allow myself freedom to add different materials to add interesting texture and variety.
